Claudia has worked with small and growing businesses throughout her career, firstly as a trainee accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, transferring to industry, on completion of her ACA in 1999.
Claudia’s first experience in industry was an intense one. She joined Sporting Index Group in the furore of the dot.com boom, and was involved in setting up 2 on-line businesses. One of these businesses is now just a statistic, the other was successful, and ultimately sold. The breadth of commercial experience she gained in these small businesses was enormous, and in 2001, she was asked to join a supplier as their Finance Director.
It was in her role as Finance Director to a relatively small, new and growing business that she realised that there was a market for part-time resource. Her law degree made her the expert in all things legal, but, had they had access to a qualified lawyer, who was able to advise on contracts, she would have leapt at the chance to have affordable advice and support.
Most recently she has spent 5 years working with AlexanderMann Solutions, a recruitment process outsourcing business, which was set up in 1996 and is now a £300m business which consistently wins awards for client service and investing in people. This business has been fundamental to her decision to form professional-identity.com. Partly due to her exposure of the recruitment industry, but also, drawing inspiration from its integrity and values.
